Working progress…

One of the most enjoyable things about crafting whether it be crochet, sewing or some form of art, is the creating.

I always like to set myself challenges and one of my favourites is designing.

I go through many notebooks and sheets of paper which end up in the bin simply because the design hasn’t worked or doesn’t look right but when it does work, there’s a feeling of satisfaction and joy!

Another challenge is choosing the right yarn for the relevant design. Will it be worn? Will the yarn need to be strong if it’s going to hold certain items, like groceries? Will it be used by a child, as a toy? All these things need to be taken into consideration.

I have to say, I’m absolutely thrilled with this ‘batik swirl’ yarn from Stylecraft. It’s double knit and is sooooo soft, it just glides off my crochet hook. The colours just blend as you crochet.

I should have this finished in no time which is one of the benefits of working with double knit when doing Tunisian crochet.

The next stage will then be to write up the pattern. The not so exciting bit!!!

Any ideas yet on what the finished project will be???
