Tunisian Crochet Flower Series – ‘Daisy’

Flowers! Flowers! Flowers!

I’m always buying flowers. They remind me of Spring and Summer and can brighten up any room. One of the projects that I have been wanting to do for a while is to design my own 3D floral patterns…..and…..here we are!

Introducing my Tunisian Crochet ‘Flower Series’ starting with my ‘daisy‘!

Did you know that there are several types of the daisy flower and they belong to the second largest family of plants called ‘Asteraceae’.

It has been a challenge desiging my first flower but has been most enjoyable. I have spent many an hour experimenting with crochet stitches, making several samples, working on several scraps of paper noting down my method as I go along, hoping that I can read it when it come to writing up the pattern. I was about to admit defeat after many attempts, and then…….it just seemed to fall into place. At last I had succeeded in my challenge and my idea became a reality.

You may ask, ‘what can you do with them?’

Have you ever made a crochet flower wreath? My floral designs would make a lovely addition. You could even use them as bunting attaching several of them to a string of chain stitches! Both these ideas are for other projects that I will share with you at a later date.

Now onto the next stage of trying to decipher my scribbles and write up the pattern which I will then put under the pattern section on this website.

Oh my! I now have soo many ideas of designs for soo many beautiful flowers in my head!

My head is spinning!!!
