Flat Lay Photography

I have always been interested in photography and especially enjoy taking pictures of my work that I have created.

Last year I discovered a new type of photography called Flat Lay.

In order to take a Flat Lay photo, you need to have an object which is the main focus among other objects and lay them on a flat surface. You then take the photo from above!

I took this photo in this blog post last year of my standard crochet hooks, yarn and scissors.

Flat Lay Photography can also be based on colour. In other words, place objects of the same colour on a flat surface and take the photo from above.

It can be quite a challenge hunting around trying to find objects of the same colour or of a similar shade.

Have you had a go at Flat Lay Photography? It can be fun!
